Every year, I swear my backyard transforms into a wild jungle as soon as Memorial Day hits. I used to get stressed, but now I just roll with it. I grab my gloves, put on some music, and start pulling weeds like I’m on a mission. The trick? I plant easy stuff—tomatoes, basil, and marigolds. They don’t need much fuss, and they bounce back even if I forget to water them for a day or two.
I also keep a little bucket nearby for clippings, so I don’t have to make a million trips. By the end, my hands are dirty, but my mind feels clear. Plus, nothing beats picking a fresh tomato for lunch. That’s my kind of weekend therapy.
