Dale Chang+FollowShe Thought That Dress Would Outshine Me?While planning my Halloween-themed wedding, I told guests to avoid one color (my dress) and either wear all black or stick to the theme. Super flexible. Just be comfy and have fun! One former friend — let’s call her Vile — messaged me asking if she could send a pic of her outfit because she “didn’t want to upstage me.” Eye-roll. We already had some tension, but her husband was in the wedding party, so I tolerated her. I told her: “Don’t worry, Vile. I’m certain you won’t outshine me. But sure, send the dress.” I expected something dramatic and jaw-dropping. Instead? She sent a dusty-looking 70s sack dress — like Matrix bag lady meets garage sale. I genuinely thought it was a joke. I told her if she felt good in it, that’s all that mattered. She didn’t show up to the wedding. Claimed “anxiety.” More like: she wasn’t going to be the center of attention, so she bailed. We later learned she was emotionally abusive and had crossed too many lines. I cut her off shortly after. If I ever find that pic… it’s going straight on the internet. 💀 #WeddingDrama #ToxicFriend #SelfCenteredMuch #UpstageFail #HalloweenWedding #FriendshipBreakup #MainCharacterEnergy #ICantMakeThisUp230Share
