Why we ditched the rat race for a slower life

Trading a big house and high-powered careers for a year of travel changed everything for us. After years of chasing promotions in tech and law, a layoff and some personal losses made us realize our "dream life" wasn’t making us happy. Traveling through Europe, living on farms, and just slowing down helped us see how much joy comes from simple moments—like helping on a sheep farm or relaxing by a lake.
