Members of Nigeria’s Shi’a Muslim community have been openly mourning the reported death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei the long-time Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran whose death in a joint US–Israeli airstrike sending international shockwaves. In several Nigerian cities, especially Kano and Lagos, supporters of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) took to the streets carrying Iranian flags, portraits of Khamenei and banners condemning the strikes. Demonstrators waved flags, chanted slogans and expressed deep sorrow, describing the loss as a profound blow to their religious community and condemning the involvement of the United States and Israel. The protests have been largely peaceful but symbolically powerful with calls for solidarity across Nigeria’s Shi’a networks and emphasis on shared religious bonds with Iran’s Shia leadership. #RamadanDay15 #IranWarZone #Israel #WW3Fears

Israel has developed a directed-energy air defense system often referred to as “Iron Beam.” Laser-based systems can intercept drones and short-range threats using concentrated light energy. The cost-per-shot is estimated to be significantly lower than interceptor missiles used in systems like Iron Dome. However, the laser requires substantial power supply and performs best in clear weather. Claims that it “never runs out of ammo” refer to electrical recharge capability rather than unlimited operational endurance. Atmospheric conditions such as fog, dust, or rain can reduce effectiveness. Defense analysts see laser systems as complementary to missile-based systems rather than replacements. The technology represents an evolution in cost-efficient defensive strategy, but not a complete transformation of warfare economics. #UnboxFactory #DefenseTechnology #Israel #DirectedEnergy #MilitaryInnovation

For the sixth year in a row, Liani and volunteers around Israel were leading patrols to “stop the horrific phenomenon of burning animals on Lag Ba’omer,” according to her Facebook event page. This year, the group recruited hundreds of people to join the effort, with nearly 900 signed up to observe bonfires and save animals from abuse. “Every year, we encounter dozens of cases of puppies and kittens being thrown in the fire during the Lag Ba’omer bonfires,” the event page says. “In previous years, we managed to save dozens of animals and give them a better life.” Liani first learned about this phenomenon – an unexplained act of abuse popular among teenagers – when she was in sixth grade in Ramat Gan. A boy in her class that year told her about people who burned a dog in their holiday bonfire, she recalled. “I researched and clarified this, and I understood that this is a widespread phenomenon – it happens a lot,” Liani told The Jerusalem Post on Sunday. At just 13 years old, she decided she needed to do something about these cruel activities.’ (1) #israel #merica #rescueanimal #puppy
