TidalTornado+FollowIs This OB-GYN Bill Normal?!Just got my bill for a routine OB-GYN visit and labs—$792, even though I’m in-network and an established patient. Is this what everyone else is paying, or am I missing something? Feels super high for a basic checkup. Would love to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience! #HealthcareCosts #OBGYN #Insurance #Health #BodyHealth01Share
TangyTiger+FollowWhy Are My Meds So Expensive?!Has anyone else noticed how prescription costs with Anthem BCBS can be way higher than what you'd pay out of pocket? I checked my latest refill and the insurance price was literally 4x more than the street value. Makes no sense! Is this just me or is this happening to others too? Curious to hear your experiences. #HealthcareCosts #PrescriptionPrices #Insurance #Health #BodyHealth50Share
solisxavier+FollowAffordable car insurance?Insurance rates include a multitude of things: year of vehicle & it’s safety features (newer cars with backup cameras, blind spot alert, etc), address where car is parked, how vehicle is used (work/pleasure) + mileage, driving history for all drivers on the policy (tickets & accidents in last 5 yrs), type of previous insurance company (if Geico was your old company, you’re getting a better rate then someone who had Bristol west). There are other things I might’ve missed but that’s the bulk of it. How do you beat this? Shop around. I also encourage everyone to order their Lexis Nexis driving report. I believe it’s free. You’d be surprised how many people find things on their driving report that had nothing to do with them. You may be able to use this report to dispute any discrepancies showing up when shopping for rates. My credentials are that I have been an agent in both personal and commercial lines for 5 yrs. #car #insurance #bills31Share
Yolanda Flowers+FollowWhy is my MRI bill $35K? Is this even real? 😳So I just got slapped with a crazy MRI bill—$35K! Thankfully, insurance knocked it down to $16K, but I still have to pay $2K out of pocket. I’m seriously questioning if the actual cost of this test was ever anywhere near $2K. How is this even possible? Has anyone else been hit with a ridiculous bill like this? I mean, I get that medical costs are high, but this feels like a total rip-off. #medicalbills #mri #insurance71Share

Christina Davis+FollowWould Your Insurer Pull the Plug on You?Here’s a wild one for your coffee break: UnitedHealth, America’s biggest health insurer, is in hot water for allegedly pushing nurses to label seniors as 'do not resuscitate'—even when those folks wanted all the help they could get. Why? To save money, apparently. The company’s been accused of using AI to deny claims and even snooping on nursing home residents to pitch them new plans. Bottom line: When picking insurance, check the fine print and keep your loved ones in the loop! #healthcare #insurance #moneytips #seniorcare #consumeralert #Business00Share
edwardspeter+FollowWhy Your Doctor Bill Is SkyrocketingEver noticed your urgent care or ER bill seems way higher than expected, even for something minor? Turns out, 'upcoding' is on the rise—providers are billing visits as more complex than they really are, just to get paid more. A new study found that even simple issues like rashes are being coded at high-intensity levels. The result? We all pay more, whether it’s through insurance, higher premiums, or out-of-pocket. Time to double-check those medical bills! #HealthcareCosts #MedicalBilling #Upcoding #Insurance #PatientAwareness #Health00Share
Robert Evans+FollowWhy Your Insurance Might Ditch 'Forever Chemicals'Here’s a hot topic for your next coffee break: Insurance companies in Germany (and some in the US) are starting to cut coverage for damages linked to PFAS, those stubborn 'forever chemicals' found in everything from non-stick pans to raincoats. Why? Lawsuits over health risks are piling up, and insurers don’t want to foot the bill. If you’re a small business or just someone worried about clean water, this could mean higher costs or fewer options. Time to check your cookware—and your policy! #PFAS #Insurance #HealthHacks #ConsumerTips #MoneyMatters #Business00Share
