Crispy Chicken, Fries, and Existential Dread
Today I ordered fried chicken and fries because, honestly, sometimes you just need to eat your feelings. The chicken was golden and crunchy, the fries were salty and hot—basically, the culinary equivalent of a warm hug from someone who won’t ask you about your life choices.
There’s something oddly comforting about tearing into a piece of fried chicken with your bare hands, grease and all, while pretending you’re not avoiding your responsibilities. The fries? Perfect for shoveling into your mouth between existential thoughts.
I know it’s not the healthiest meal, but in that moment, it was exactly what I needed. No regrets, just crispy satisfaction and a reminder that sometimes, the best therapy comes in a paper box.
