Every time I try to move, he gives me that look—equal parts betrayal and, ‘Don’t you dare.’ It’s like he knows exactly how to guilt-trip me into staying put. I guess this is what peak comfort looks like: sweatpants, snacks, and a dog who thinks he’s a weighted blanket.
