Choosing Health and Happiness Over Work at 63.

After years of dealing with the stress of working in a toxic environment, I’m finally walking away at 63. No more mean lawyers, no more endless stress, no more sacrificing my health for a paycheck. 🙅‍♀️💼 I’m not rich — my Social Security check will only be $1800/month, and my pension isn’t huge either. But I’m done letting work define me. I’ve worked hard to be able to live without a mortgage, and now it’s time to make the most of my health and my art. 🌟 I might not have it all figured out, but I know one thing: life is too short to keep putting off happiness. I plan to sell my car, tap into a reverse mortgage if needed, and live on my terms. 🚶‍♀️💫 For those of you who’ve retired with limited income — how do you stay happy and healthy without worrying about every penny? I’m ready to live, not just survive. 💬👇 #RetireOnYourTerms #HealthAndHappiness #ChooseYourLife #ArtistAtHeart #FinancialFreedom #LiveFully #JobCareer #Career

Shifting my mindset from “Will I have enough?” to “Yes, I can retire!”

I’m 62 (turning 63 soon! 🎂) and after 22 years with the same company, it finally feels real — I’m on track to retire at 65. 🏡✨ When I first started, I felt way behind — new mortgage, little savings, lots of doubts. Fast forward to today: I’ve met with several financial advisors and they all agree... I'm in good shape! 🙌 Now comes the bigger shift: moving from saving and working to actually living and enjoying what I’ve built. It’s exciting... but also a little strange. For those who are retired or close to it — how did you adjust to this new phase of life? Would love your insights! 🌟👇 #RetirementPlanning #MindsetShift #FinancialFreedom #LifeAfterWork #EnjoyTheJourney #JobCareer #Career

Single Life: My Top Three Priorities 🌟

At 30+, single, and financially comfy, my world revolves around three essentials: my money, my health, and my inner peace. My Money: Earning isn't just about luxury; it's about having the power to say no to what I dislike. My financial strategy? Save first, then earn. Impulse buys? They're a no-go. I let them sit for a while before deciding. As for boosting income, I've explored cost-effective gigs like editing, blogging, and selling online. It's all about starting small and scaling up. My Health: A few years back, stress got the better of me, leading to severe anxiety and depression. Now, I cook at home, hit the gym lightly 2-3 times a week, soak up some sun whenever possible, and spend time in nature weekly. It's not just about physical health; it's about feeling good in my own skin. My Inner Peace: True calm comes from within. I've learned to tune out negativity and focus on myself. Reading, exercising, listening to podcasts, and enjoying nature help me maintain my inner balance. It's a beautiful feeling to be "selfish" in a positive way, prioritizing my well-being above all. #SoloLiving #FinancialFreedom #HealthMatters #InnerPeace #Mindfulness
