“What They Won’t Say”
They post the headlines.
They give us the stats.
They shout about who’s canceled, who died, who faked what, who got exposed.
But here’s what they won’t say:
They won’t talk about what it’s doing to you.
How every scroll adds a little more weight to your chest.
How you’re expected to care, but not too much.
To stay informed, but not break down.
To keep showing up like the world isn’t on fire and your soul isn’t tired.
No one says how weird it feels…
To mourn strangers.
To watch legacies vanish overnight.
To see a world collapsing behind the mask of entertainment.
But you feel it, don’t you?
That subtle ache behind your eyes.
That quiet anxiety you can’t name.
That creeping sense that something’s off — and has been for a while.
But you’re not broken.
You’re human.
You’re sensitive in a world that profits off desensitizing you.
You care in a time when apathy is cool.
You cry when the news says to “move on.”
And that doesn’t make you weak — it makes you real.
So here’s what they won’t say…
But I will:
🫶 You’re allowed to pause.
🫶 You’re allowed to grieve.
🫶 You’re allowed to log out, shut off the noise, and just breathe.
🫶 You’re allowed to say, “this is too much,” and not apologize for needing peace.
The world spins fast, but your heart doesn’t have to race with it.
You’re still here.
You’re still trying.
And that’s the headline that matters most.
