I finally understand why the Priest walked past the dying man (wow) 🤯

I used to think the Priest and the Levite in the Good Samaritan story were just in a hurry or being selfish. But I was digging into the cultural context, and it’s so much darker. They walked past the bleeding man because touching a corpse would make them "ceremonially unclean" according to their law. They prioritized maintaining their religious purity over saving a dying man's life. Jesus wasn't just telling a sweet story about helping your neighbor. He was launching a tactical strike against a hypocritical religious system that valued polished rituals over actual human suffering. It made me look in the mirror. How often do we hide behind our comfortable "church duties" while ignoring the broken, messy people right in front of us? Lord, break our hearts for what breaks Yours. #BiblicalTruth #GoodSamaritan #FaithInAction #ChurchCulture

"Hear, for I will speak excellent and pricelessly things and the opening of my lips shall be for right things" Proverbs 8:6 👉Depression can significantly impact our speech and the words we share with others. It can lead to a more negative tone, focusing on worst-case scenarios or criticizing oneself or others. People, like myself , struggling with #depression might withdraw, speaking less, struggling to find words, or avoiding conversations altogether. Self-doubt, guilt, or worthlessness come through words. In Proverbs 8:6 encourages us to speak excellent, upright things, and we can apply that in our daily lives. #timeout with God! The importance of pausing before speaking helps us recognize when we're speaking impulsively or negative 🙏 We can learn tips for cultivating thoughtful, wise speech from His Word. As Christians we do have impact of our words on others (and ourselves)! Meditate on Philippians 4:8! This verse encourages us to focus our minds on positive, uplifting things. By doing so, we can cultivate a more optimistic and godly mindset. These changes can impact relationships and make social interactions less challenging even in depressing times. ❤️ #FaithOverFeelings #justPray #Godisnear #Godisgoodallthetime #prayer #ithurts #PrayerHeals #relationshipwithGod #FaithInAction #SpeakLife #whatistrue #whatisnormal 🙏🙏🙏
