Joel Johnson+FollowWould you let a stranger try on your ring?A California woman was stunned when a total stranger asked to try on her engagement ring—right on the spot! For many, engagement rings are deeply personal and even superstitious items, so the idea of handing one over to someone you don’t know feels way out of bounds. Some say it’s bad luck to wear a ring that isn’t yours, while others see no harm in sharing a little sparkle. Where do you stand? Would you let someone—friend or stranger—slip your special ring on their finger, or is that crossing a line? #Relationships #EngagementRing #Traditions00Share
Kaitlyn Hammond+FollowWhy your engagement ring needs a checkupTurns out, skipping that quick 6-month jewelry inspection could cost you big time. A Florida man found out the hard way when his wife’s diamond fell out and their insurance was void—just because they missed the required check-in. Many jewelers, like Kay and Helzberg, have this rule buried in the fine print: no inspection, no coverage. Some folks are now setting calendar reminders, while others suggest adding rings to your home insurance instead. Have you ever read the fine print on your jewelry policy? Would you trust a jeweler’s plan or go with your own insurance? #Entertainment #engagementring #insurance20Share
herreraaustin+FollowGreat Great Grandma'sThe design is seriously unlike anything I have ever seen. People are debating whether it’s from the 1960s or the 1980s, but honestly, it has this stunningly unique, post-modern architectural vibe that makes it feel timeless. It’s a tiny sculpture for your finger. #Jewelry #VintageJewelry #Heirloom #EngagementRing #GrandmasRing 121Share
herreraaustin+FollowI Love the Ring My Boyfriend Secretly Designed, But I Might Cry Over the Prongs. My boyfriend and I went to the UK for a vacation this summer and decided to do some fun ring browsing. I went into total detail describing my ideal ring to the jeweler, and we left it at that. What I did not know is that my amazing boyfriend secretly paid for the jeweler to create the exact ring I described. I was completely shocked when I found out. He does not know I have seen the final result, and I am mostly ecstatic, but I have a major, silent issue. I am about 85% satisfied. I never specified wanting round prongs, and they are really bothering me. I thought the default setting for a stone this style was generally claw prongs. I am so grateful and would never say anything to him, but I cannot stop fixating on the round prongs. My question is for the jewelers and engagement ring experts out there. Since we live in the US and the ring was made in the UK, getting adjustments from the original shop is going to be incredibly difficult. Is this something I can easily get fixed or modified by a US jeweler later on. Or is there some secret benefit to round prongs that I am missing. Help me feel better about this beautiful ring. #EngagementRing #Jewelry #Ring #HelpMe 1113Share
brenda51+FollowI was proposed to with the ring I said I hated. Please be brutally honestI said yes last week and I am completely thrilled to be engaged. The ring, however, has taken me by surprise. My fiancé showed me this exact ring online a while ago, and I told him it was not for me. He showed it to me again physically a few months later and I still said it was too pink. I am worried that it looks too playful or even a little childish for an engagement ring. Everyone I know is being super polite and just saying it is beautiful. I need honest, unbiased opinions from strangers. #EngagementRing #Jewelry #JewelryAdvice #RelationshipAdvice 289705Share
