Mary Williams+FollowGen Z’s Risky Take on Drink-DrivingDid you know over a third of Gen Z think it’s more socially acceptable to drive after a drink—even if they’re over the legal limit? That’s way higher than Boomers! Even wilder: nearly half of those who say they know the legal limit can’t actually name it. The gap between what’s safe and what’s ‘fine’ is pretty eye-opening. Kristy Tallman+FollowOFFICER ARRESTED FOR DUI AFTER USING EMERGENCY LIGHTS WITH OPEN BEER IN VEHICLE 🚔🍺⚠️ A police sergeant from Mississippi — Joseph James Prine Jr. — was arrested in Gatlinburg, Tennessee after officers spotted his SUV driving with emergency lights activated and an open beer can sitting in the console, according to police. The stop happened around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, after the vehicle briefly crossed into oncoming traffic. Officers say Prine admitted to drinking, failed multiple field sobriety tests, and later refused a breathalyzer before being taken in for DUI, alcohol in a vehicle, and having a handgun while under the influence. Prine told officers he was in town attending a training course. A blood test was ordered under Tennessee law, and the case is now under both criminal review and internal investigation.
