🐾 day 71 —buddy came over for a playdate

I didn’t expect much when Buddy came over. He’s a 3-year-old golden from next door. Loud, bouncy, extremely proud of his tennis ball. Grace stayed in the corner at first. Just watching. I sat nearby and didn’t say anything. Buddy dropped his ball, stared at Grace, wagged like a maniac, and barked once. She blinked. And then—she walked over. Just a few steps. And sat down next to me. Still watching. But closer. They didn’t play. Not really. But Buddy lay down, and Grace didn’t move away. That’s a start. #Pets #Dogs #DogSocializing
