Here’s the situation: we both have our own cars, there’s about $30,000 left on the mortgage, and we have a 10-year-old child. No student loans. My income is $80,000, while his is $60,000. After taxes and expenses, we each clear about $50,000. He works for a union, and I run my own business.
I want to make sure I’m fully prepared and don’t miss anything important. What should I have ready to discuss with the lawyer, aside from the usual financial stuff?
