I’ve been on dating apps and met girls who say they’re looking for a “serious relationship.” I always suggest starting as friends since we don’t really know each other yet. Surprisingly, this often leads to them stopping the conversation. I just don’t get it—how is wanting to skip the friendship stage to jump into something serious not contradictory?
