Friendship first: The foundation of a serious relationship

I’ve been on dating apps and met girls who say they’re looking for a “serious relationship.” I always suggest starting as friends since we don’t really know each other yet. Surprisingly, this often leads to them stopping the conversation. I just don’t get it—how is wanting to skip the friendship stage to jump into something serious not contradictory? Samuel Richardson once said that friendship is the highest form of romantic happiness. Those girls probably think “serious” means immediate attraction or desire, but they forget that compatibility goes beyond that. I might not like their personality, or they might not like mine. If you want a happy relationship, you can’t ignore the importance of building a solid friendship first. If they’re truly interested, they’ll be willing to put in the effort. So far, I haven’t found the right person, but I’m not wasting time—I’m filtering out those who aren’t willing to work on a relationship with me. #FriendshipFirst #Dating #SeriousRelationship #Compatibility #EffortInRelationships

The Misconception About Single Parents and Dating

It’s puzzling why so many people view single moms and dads as undatable. There are countless genuine, kind-hearted individuals—both inside and out—who ended up raising a child with someone who wasn’t the right match for them. It seems unfair that this situation automatically disqualifies them from being considered as potential partners. Many people lament their loneliness and inability to find a partner, yet they might be overlooking some amazing individuals. To any trolls out there: I’m in a relationship now, but I’ve met several attractive and high-quality single moms when I was single. It’s time to change the narrative around single parents and dating. Staying Away from Toxic Friendships

True friends uplift us, grow with us, and stand alongside us. However, not all friendships are created equal. Some friends can be outright “toxic friends,” characterized by manipulation, broken trust, one-sided expectations, and persistent negativity. Toxic friends may morally blackmail you, share your secrets without your consent, expect you to make sacrifices unilaterally, or continually drain your energy with their negativity. The key is to recognize these harmful dynamics and take immediate steps to distance yourself. Your emotional health is critical. Don't let toxic relationships consume your time and energy and cause unnecessary pain. Remember that true friends will always respect, support and inspire you. Have you encountered toxic friends? How did you deal with them? Please share your experiences! #toxic friendships #dating tips #emotional health
