Bridges, the Fair-Deal Steakhouse in old town Danville

Weekend food stroll in white-dominated old town Danville! The small town of Danville might not ring a bell for many Southies; it's located halfway between Walnut Creek and San Ramon. Known for its good schools and wealthy residents, it’s home to quite a few old-money families! Today dined with a friend's family at Bridges, a top pick as per online reviews. Despite being an historic American restaurant, the fusion of Asian and American cuisine was surprisingly delightful! Let's talk about our food experience: Starters: *Brussels Sprouts, Pic 4, $13. A classic American side dish! It was well roasted, wasn't bitter, the exterior was crispy while the center remained soft! *Truffle Frites, Pic 5, $10. There was a little suspense concerning this dish. Where's the truffle in these truffle fries? Assumed there would be at least a sprinkle of truffle dust. However, after tasting, the mushroom flavor was noticed, it seems the truffle was added before cooking! *Lettuce Wrap, Pic 6, $19. Full of Asian essence, the filling was a mix of chicken and shrimp, rolled in fresh veg. The taste was refreshing! Main course: *Bridges Burger, Pic 7, $19. This huge beef burger with fries was ordered for the kids, a meal that filled them up! Forget fancy dishes when taking kids out, you can never go wrong with burgers and fries! *Grilled Atlantic Salmon, Pic 8, $31. The salmon was delicious, oily, tender, and plenty was provided. The picture makes the fish look small due to the plate size. *Thai Curry Prawn, Pic 9, $33. A sudden appearance of a Thai main course amidst all the expected American dishes, was a surprise [LaughCryR]! It was sweet to taste, and the prawns particularly stood out, very crunchy! *Prime New York Steak, Pic 10, $49. Ordering steak in a White Town steakhouse can't go wrong, Medium-Well cooked steak with a flavored surface, perfect when cut open, [OKR]! Need to praise the excellent service at the end! Serving, refilling, clearing the table, and packing up left-overs #FoodStroll #DanvilleEats #BridgesRestaurant #AmericanFusion #WeekendDining #FamilyFriendly #SeafoodDelight #SteakhouseExperience

Crumbs - Enjoying a sunny breakfast in historic Danville

Location: Old Downtown Danville for a popular brunch spot! Walked in at 7:30 AM and by 8 AM, plenty of customers have trickled in; clearly Americans love their breakfast! Crumbs really stands out among the many breakfast spots in Danville: it opens earliest at 7 AM; and you can order alcohol with breakfast! Caught a glimpse of the guys at the bar munching and sipping, and included in picture 8 is their popular wine - it looks pretty good! Here's what we ordered: *Smoke Salmon, $19 - Smoked salmon omelet! The eggs were golden and tenderly cooked; surprising addition of scallions, tasted mildly flavored, but since the smoked salmon was quite salty, it balanced the flavors out! The sides came with options of potatoes and bread - because of the large portion, I skipped the bread and just took the potatoes! *Ube Pancake, $15.75 - Purple yam pancakes! Strong aroma, vibrant color, and sweet in taste—went pretty great with the slightly sour fresh fruits! Since checking in, I've found the color of dishes in popular spots is definitely better than less popular ones; there's truth to the saying "we eat with our eyes first!" In summary: Tasty food, cozy vibe, expect to spend around $25 per person on average! 🚩Crumbs Breakfast, Lunch & Bar 428 Railroad Ave suite b, Danville, CA 94526 #CrumbsBreakfast #DanvilleEats #BreakfastSpot #FoodieFinds #BrunchTime #FoodPhotography #FoodReview #DanvilleCA
