🎭 NJ COMEDY ICON REMEMBERED 🎭
New Jersey entertainment legend Floyd Vivino — beloved by generations as “Uncle Floyd” — has passed away peacefully at the age of 74, his family confirmed.
Born in Paterson and raised in Glen Rock, Vivino’s passion for broadcasting began early while he was still a student at Glen Rock High School. His younger brother, Jerry Vivino, shared the news in a heartfelt post, saying Floyd passed away Thursday evening after a long battle with ongoing health issues.
Uncle Floyd became a household name through “The Uncle Floyd Show,” which aired from 1974 to 1995. The show blended off-the-wall comedy with live music and helped launch the careers of numerous bands, earning it a cult following across the region and beyond.
Following the show’s run, Vivino continued performing stand-up, made appearances on television, and later connected with audiences once again as the host of “Uncle Floyd on the Radio.”
His humor, heart, and unmistakable style left a lasting mark on New Jersey’s cultural landscape. 🎤❤️
🕊️ Rest easy, Uncle Floyd.
