Highway 285 reopens after major semi crash

Traffic on U.S. Hwy. 285 at Kenosha Pass came to a standstill today after a semi jack-knifed, blocking both directions for hours. Crews, including a hazmat team, worked quickly to clear the scene, and all lanes reopened by early afternoon. If you were planning to head toward Denver, you probably had to detour through Highway 9 and I-70. It’s a reminder of how quickly travel plans can change in the mountains.
