No need to go to Monterey! A pink floral blanket is in full bloom in the Bay Area Peninsula🌸 I was deeply attracted when I saw the pictures on Instagram. The pink flower ocean, combined with the crescent-shaped white sandy beach and mint-colored waves, made me irresistible to come and check in. Didn't even wait for the weekend, I rushed here. Seeing the actual scenery didn’t disappoint, the only regret is that there aren't many angles to take pictures. After checking in, lingering a bit while feeling the sea breeze isn't bad. Near sunset, lots of seagulls flew overhead in line. 🏄‍♀️People are playing volleyball on the beach, surfing in the sea, and even fishing in big waves! 📍Montara Beach 8150 Cabrillo Hwy, Montara, CA 94037 ⏰Definitely come when it's sunny as the flowers will bloom, making the overall scene pinker. Beach weather can be unpredictable, keep an eye on the weather condition. It's windy by the coast, stay warm. 🅿️ Montara State Beach parking Park and take a walk to the left, you'll see the sea of pink flowers. The trail is short but tough, steep, and lacks guardrails. Here's everything you need to know about this stunning hike: 🗺️ Where is the Devil's Slide? - The northern edge of the Devil’s Slide starts in southern Pacifica, just before Highway One enters the Tom Lantos tunnel. - The southern end starts where Highway One emerges from the tunnel, near Gray Whale Cove State Beach Park. ⏰ How Long is the Trail? - It's a 1.2 mile one-way hike or a 2.4 mile round trip from the north end parking lot to the south end parking lot. 👹 Why is it Called the Devil’s Slide? - Positioned between San Pedro Ridge and Montara Mountain, the Devil's Slide is a 900-foot cliff consisting of shale and sandstone. Its erosion-prone nature is the reason behind its devilish name. 🚗 Where to Park at Devil’s Slide? - There are limited parking spots: 13 on the north end and 24 on the south end.
