No one doubt AC1 flag collectibles are the hardest in the series

Later games had their tedious collectibles - Unity’s cockades, Valhalla’s wealth chests, the endless viewpoints - but nothing, and I mean NOTHING, compares to the soul-crushing experience of hunting down AC1’s flags. Why they were absolute torture: • 420 total flags scattered across the entire map with zero fast travel • No map markers, no eagle vision highlighting, no helpful NPCs giving hints • Many were hidden in the most obscure, pixel-perfect locations • That awful climbing system meant you’d fall and have to restart routes constantly • No reward beyond a measly achievement/trophy I remember spending literal hours just methodically combing through every rooftop in Damascus, only to realize I missed one flag somewhere and having to start over. The Jerusalem flags were particularly evil - some tucked behind random wooden beams that you could barely see. And don’t get me started on the Kingdom flags. Running around that massive, empty overworld checking every single tower, ruin, and rock formation was mind-numbing. #AC1 #AssassinsCreed
