I have some people in my life who are addicted to conflict. No matter what you do, they want to argue, compete, and drag you into their drama. I used to fight back, but it just destroyed my peace. I was reading about Isaac in Genesis 26. He keeps digging these massive, valuable water wells in the desert. Every time he hits water, the local herdsmen come over and aggressively claim it’s theirs. Does Isaac start a massive war? No. He names the well "Argument," packs up his family, and literally just walks away to dig another one. They steal that one too. He names it "Hostility" and leaves again. Finally, he digs a well and they leave him alone. He chose his peace over his pride. You don't have to attend every argument you are invited to.
