With all the political tension right now, it’s so easy to panic. You watch these world leaders acting so arrogant, bragging about their power, acting like they are untouchable gods holding our futures in their hands. I was spiraling today until I read Daniel 4. King Nebuchadnezzar was the most powerful dictator on earth. He stood on his palace roof and bragged, "Look at this magnificent empire I have built by my own power!" While the words were literally still in his mouth, a voice from heaven stripped him of his sanity. God drove him away from society, and the most powerful man on earth lived in a field, eating grass like a cow with claws like a bird, until he admitted that God alone rules the nations.
