Galatians 6:10 Paul encourages us to bear, to carry one another’s burdens and troublesome, moral faults, to carefully examine and test our own conduct, and not lose heart and grow weary or faint in doing right. He cautions us against sowing to our own flesh, because, in doing so we’ll reap decay and destruction. He offers the hope to those who sow in the spirit, as they will, from the Spirit, receive eternal life. What is the goodness we sow? What does it mean to continually exercise a spirit of humility, enabling us help someone without feeling the one we serve is less important? How do we bear one another’s burdens while we carry our own as well? What does it mean to endure troublesome moral faults? What did Jesus mean when He called us ‘servants’? Do we ask Him to reveal opportunities to do good things? Are we available to do good things for all people or just a chosen few? Do we require something in return… or do we do good things so someone can see God’s hand as He provides comfort, patience, love, Grace and mercy…through us. The joy and peace we gain from being a blessing is priceless. Lord, help us to see opportunities You place before us, to do good things, to be a blessing. Lord, we ask You to stand guard over our heart, strengthening us, giving us courage and boldness, wisdom and understanding in our service.
