We just had a massive round of cutbacks. My team is completely gutted, and the expectations are still the exact same. Logically, we are going to fail. I’ve been having a panic attack all morning. Then I read Judges 7. Gideon is facing an enemy army of 135,000 men. He only has 32,000 soldiers. He is already completely outgunned. But God tells him, "You have too many men." God intentionally strips Gideon’s army down to just 300 guys. He deliberately made the odds mathematically impossible, just so that when they won, no one could claim they did it by their own human strength. If God is stripping away your resources, your safety nets, or your backup plans right now, maybe He is just setting the stage for a victory that you can't take credit for.
