There is nothing more deeply painful than watching pastors treat the church like their own personal ATM and business empire. I saw the nepotism and greed firsthand, and it almost destroyed my faith. But God is not blind to church corruption. Look at Eli’s sons, Hophni and Phinehas, in 1 Samuel 2. They were the priests! But they were literally bullying the congregation, stealing the best parts of the meat offerings by force, and sleeping with the women who served at the entrance. God didn't just give them a slap on the wrist. He completely wiped out their entire family line and both sons died on the exact same day. God fiercely protects His sheep.
