I never expected a bird to change my creative direction. Years ago, I came across the Purple Gallinule and couldn’t believe the colors were real. Purple, turquoise, green, red, yellow… it looked like somebody painted it before nature did. That bird inspired one of my favorite paintings, and I eventually gave that painting away as a gift at my job. Fast forward to today, and here I am making videos about birds. Funny how inspiration works. I’m still not calling myself a bird watcher. I’m just someone who’s learning to slow down, pay attention, and appreciate what’s been around me all along. Sometimes all it takes is one moment… or one bird… to send you in a direction you never expected. Have you ever had something unexpectedly inspire you?
