Ephesians 1:7 He chose us, picked us out to be His own in Christ, before the foundations of the world…not because He needed anything, but because He willed it, because it pleased Him. Not because of what we’ve done, but because of Who He is. He is our Redeemer, our Deliverer, our Salvation…He’s the One Who Forgives our shortcomings…the One Who loves us unconditionally. We’re not worthy or deserving, but as believers who Trust in Him, we’re ‘stamped’, sealed with the Holy Spirit. Cherished by a loving Father, One Who knows right where we are when we think we’re lost. One Who guides us in the way of righteousness, disciplines in love, will never leave nor forsake us. He’s our Provider, our Protector, our Strength and our Wisdom. The cost of our redemption alone came at great sacrifice…a self sacrifice by the Creator, sacrificing Himself for the creation. Any sacrifice coming through the fallen world would’ve been tainted, impure, corrupt, unable to be the holy sacrifice required to save those He’d chosen before the foundation of the world. He did it all, loved us, chose us, rescued and delivered us, paid the price of redemption in full. A Redemption worthy to receive us into His kingdom. Not because of who we are or what we’ve done, but because of what He’s done and Who He is. Lord, even as we’re here today, we’re humbled by Your Grace and Mercy. We’re Chosen and redeemed by the creator of all things. Chosen to be and do righteousness according to Your will and purpose. Help us to recognize Your voice, to choose to do good. May what we do bring You glory.
