The Holy Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. This is one of the deepest spiritual patterns in Scripture: After God confirms you, life will often test you. The enemy did not attack Jesus before the declaration. He attacked after it. Why? Because hell responds to identity. Satan wanted Jesus to doubt what God had already spoken. That same pattern appears throughout Scripture: * After promotion comes pressure. * After calling comes conflict. * After revelation comes resistance. The wilderness was not proof God abandoned Jesus. The wilderness was proof Jesus was trusted.
