Private Matthew Wiese was on a flight when a fifteen year old kid looked over at him and quietly asked, "Can I rest my head against you for comfort, I'm afraid of flving and I think it would help?"... The young solider said, "Of course" When later asked about this simple act of kindness, Pvt Wiese responded back with 'This is what I Love about being an American soldier in the US Army. I Love that people look at me for comfort." Today, I want to thank the Private for his service to our nation and for having a Loving heart. So many of us take for aranted the comfort that our US Military provides to us in so many different waysSoldiers like him are who make our military great.

Wonderful story. I have been askrd numerousctimes over the last four decades why I joined up. I would be lying if I ever said that the pay and benefits were never a factor. my father seved 20 years, Army Air Corps to US Air Force, WW2 and Korea. My sister served in the US Army for a few years. To me, serving was about more than the pay check. Not everyone can do it. Certainly not everyone wantsvto do it. For me it was the right thing to do. If I had it to do all over again, it would still be an absolute YES. Kudos to my young brother in arms for being in the right place at the right time to be a shelter, a protector and a comfort to one of those we defend. Hand Salute. Welcome to the Warrior Caste.

Awesome!! If it was not for our military men and women we would not be able to sleep at night! These men and women put a smile on my face and I tear up just thinking what they go through and the sacrifices they make! They’re absolutely great!! Love and respect to you all!
