The temple veil wasn't just a curtain. It was 4 inches thick. 🤯✝️

We always hear the story that when Jesus died, the veil in the temple tore from top to bottom, giving us direct access to God. But I just learned the historical context. This wasn't some thin living room curtain. Historical Jewish records say the veil was 60 feet high and 4 INCHES THICK. It was woven so tightly that horses tied to each side couldn't pull it apart. For it to tear from TOP to BOTTOM means human hands absolutely did not do it. God Himself violently ripped open the barrier to get to us. The absolute raw power of His grace is overwhelming. This is the power of God that was spoken in his word, which says there's nothing that can separate us from the love of God anymore.He continuously reaches for us.Since now the curtain that hung in the temple was a barrier that only the high priest can enter and seek forgiveness for the people's sins has been torn. Now we no longer have to go through someone to approach God. Now we can approach God with boldness. And He tells us when we seek him we should find Him. let's not give up seeking our glorious God now that the curtain is torn.
