When God Breaks What You Thought You Needed Maybe it’s not working out because God is working out something better. Sometimes God allows the breakdown because He’s preparing the breakthrough. The moment that feels like everything is falling apart may actually be the moment God is rearranging everything in your favour. He sees what you cannot see. He knows what would have hurt you later. He knows what would have limited you. And because He loves you, He won’t let you settle for what only looks good when He has something better prepared. We often pray for open doors, but sometimes God answers by closing the wrong ones. Not to punish us, but to protect us. There are paths we beg for that would quietly lead us away from the life He designed for us. So He intervenes. What feels like rejection may actually be redirection. Some of the greatest blessings in life are born out of our biggest disappointments. What feels like a setback may actually be the setup for the very blessing you’ve been praying for. In the moment it hurts. It confuses us. We question why things didn’t work out the way we hoped. But God sees the full picture. He knows the people who were not meant to stay. He knows the opportunities that would have limited you. He knows the seasons you must walk through in order to grow into who you’re meant to become. Sometimes God removes what you’re holding onto so tightly because He sees what’s waiting ahead. And one day you’ll look back and realise the closed door saved you. The delay prepared you. The disappointment strengthened you. The pain shaped you. You’ll thank Him for the prayers He didn’t answer the way you expected. Because His way was better. 🙏
