Inspire those around you! Encouraging others is a profound act that not only lifts their spirits but also nourishes your own soul. This past week, I engaged in numerous conversations where I offered support, whether celebrating good news or helping others navigate their challenges. Each interaction became a chance to infuse positivity into their lives, often accompanied by a prayer. A memorable moment arose when a colleague reached out to check on me; instinctively, I shifted into encouragement mode, inspired by Hebrews 13:16, only to realize they simply needed one of my heartfelt hugs. Being who I am, I sent an "air hug" along with comforting words, which not only brightened their day but also rejuvenated my own spirit, reinforcing the message from 1 Thessalonians 5:11 about the importance of uplifting one another. This experience reminded me of my purpose as a believer, illustrating that even in my absence, my light can still shine. As believers, it is essential to remain attentive and ready to support those around us, as highlighted in Philippians 2:3-4. While we all face personal struggles, it is vital to conduct ourselves in a manner that draws others closer to the Lord rather than pushing them away. I realized that taking the time to encourage someone can prevent discouragement and strengthen our friendships. Matthew 5:16 reminds us to let our light shine before others, so they may see our good deeds and glorify our Father in heaven. Therefore, when someone reaches out to you, pause and give them the attention they need, as we have accepted the calling to share Christ with everyone around us, even amidst our busy lives. As we transition into a new week, keep an eye out for someone who could use a word of encouragement. You never know how God might bless both you and the person you uplift. Let this week be one filled with encouragement.
