Christ prayed for God to remove from the cup from him but God didn’t. Matthew 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Though Christ asked his Father that if it be possible let this cup pass from him, Christ ended his prayer with not as I will but as thou will. Whenever we pray we should alway submit to the will of God for our life. God sees the desires of your heart but whenever you don’t receive what you praying for it’s only because it is not God’s will. So many are discouraged for what they pray for because they have not received it. They seek their own will rather than the will of God. Seek God’s righteousness first and as Christ all these things will be added unto you. Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness first and God will take care of your needs. Stop your selfish praying and surrender to the will of God. When you pray exalt the Lord, praise him and then say Father your will be done in my life. For he already knows your needs.
