Every MLK Day for the past six years, Charlotte’s own Jaylan Henderson has turned his day off into a day of action—using his birthday money to collect and hand out warm clothes and essentials to people experiencing homelessness. What started as a 10-year-old’s dream to help 200 people has now grown to reach 1,000 neighbors in need this year. Jaylan and his mom set up outside local shelters, braving the cold to make a real difference. It’s inspiring to see a young person build a legacy of kindness in our city. How do you think we can keep this spirit of giving alive all year? #Safety #Charlotte #MLKDay
