Every December, Birmingham’s All City Music Festival comes alive when Maurice Arrington, the beloved band director at W.J. Christian K-8, takes the stage as Saxophone Santa. For seven years, he’s closed out the festival with a jazzy, crowd-pleasing “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town,” getting students and families singing and clapping along. Arrington’s journey started with a simple request to play Santa for the kids, and now it’s a city tradition. His story is a reminder of how music—and a little holiday spirit—can bring a whole community together. Who else has seen Saxophone Santa in action? #Entertainment #Music #Birmingham
