When a friend’s kid crosses the line

Having a friend’s child stay over can be tough, but what do you do when their behavior is way out of line? One woman found herself dealing with a 13-year-old guest who was rude, disruptive, and seemed to be pushing boundaries on purpose. She debated whether to tell the mom right away or wait until her friend’s trip was over. Some people say it’s best not to ruin the parent’s weekend, but others think the mom needs to know ASAP. No never have had such a thing in my home my sons friends were respectful and sweet, but if this was the case I would contact the parents because whether it ruins her vacation or not she has to know…I am sure this is not the first this child has been out of line I would bet it happens at home so I am sure mom will not be surprised…I would see if there is someone else thru the Mother if there is someone to take over this child…I worked in a pre-school for 9 years and there were a few children that were just beyond being able to calm down and the director gave the parents warnings and if that did not work they removed the child..other children should not have to see or deal with a child out of control…I also drove a school bus for elementary and high school fir 31 years but I had good kids I loved my job but over the 31 yrs I had to write up 7 kids and they straightened up after that except one and he had been a major problem in school as well…they handled it!!!

Not put up with the rudeness, let the mother know At end of visit, if doesn’t help stop it. Friendship with child ends immediately 🤔
