Because the colts want a QB that will LISTEN to the Coaches, run the plays that are called, and not be a DISTRACTION or create UNNECESSARY DRAMA. Cam Newton has been a drama queen going all the way back to his high school playing days.

Cam can deal with his issues regarding “pride”. Phillip Rivers was better at 40, than Cam at 30. Only in arrogance does he speak of this choice by the Colts.

Cam is now Kaepernick part 2? Rivers played there before,knows the system and can and probably will come right in a contribute if provided protection enough to do so. The reporting was that Rivers could still throw the entire route tree and showed them in tryout that the arm is still there.
