1 John 4:19 Love… It’s the catalyst for all of creation. Love is the power that ignites the spark which gives fuel to righteousness. Without love, we wouldn’t be here. This isn’t a love born out of need, or the desire to control something. It’s a love born of selflessness and a desire to reveal Who He is, Gracious, Kind, Long Suffering and Merciful. How could we miss it? How could we know what love is without Him showing us… showering us in the most extravagant way. It’s said that His love for us is so great, if we were the last person on earth, He would still have chosen the nails. God‘s love is so great, even from the very beginning. There were a lot of things He could’ve done to Adam and Eve for their disobedience, but He chose to cover their sin. The first sacrifice… A picture of what was yet to come. Some may deny the presence of His love, the pain and suffering in this world is hard to miss, but every soul born on this earth has an opportunity for an eternity with Him. An eternity in the Light of His Love. Living in a fallen world has caused many to question God’s love, but those who have spent time with Him understand and accept that His ways are not our ways, and our ways are not His ways. This Love that begins with Him embraces us and holds us whether we’re in the valleys or on the top of the mountain. This love gives us power to be steadfast, to endure, to persevere with Joy and Peace. Thank you, Lord, for showing us how. We don’t want to bury Love as a treasure and keep it for ourselves, our desire is to share it with those around us and whoever You bring before us. Lord, we pray for opportunities to be a reflection of the love You’ve lavishly bestowed on us.
