Starting Jan 2026, the state is lowering the suspension threshold to 10 points in 24 months (was 11 in 18), and jacking up points for stuff like speeding, reckless driving, and even illegal u-turns. Using your phone while driving? That’s now 6 points. Miss yielding to a pedestrian? 5 points.
