Living Life On Daily Terms . Being born and raised in Louisiana had many advantages too me . Not only was I raised by my parents , my grandparents and aunts showed me the way to survive and feed our families. Menus with beans , rice , eggs and chickens was a daily meal . My uncles and aunts cared for their vegetables. Many very hot days they plowed garden ( field) . Greens, tomatoes , okra , watermelons and field peas we ate daily . Today this day , when my sweet tooth calls for sweets. Cakes and biscuits are my favorites. During the shutdown it was easy to keep a simple healthy meal due to my upbringing . Today's generation has no idea about how to survive when the groceries is low .
