Why do people get animals only to abandoned them

Thank you lord jesus for this question I want answered. I wish they had a law not to leave the pets behind. I see this too often and I feed a cluster of 13 out of my own pocket, but the new homeowners don't want me to leave them food. I've been verbally abused and they even called the cops on me. Too bad, I'm not going to stop feeding them. It's not their fault they got left behind!

They need to be held accountable. The poor animals.

we had a cat show up couple yrs ago in the garage, he's been here since, he stays in the garage and has the yard, doesn't like indoors but was already fixed, I'm the blessed one

Yes! it's so sad to see so Many cats around my neighborhood. I feed a few of them every day. I buy dry and wet cat food twice a month. and when I don't have money to buy food for stray cats. I will cook chicken or beef with carrots for them. so they don't go hungry. I. make sure they have something on their stomach. But they're so many STRAY cats around my neighborhood. and Yes! I like to ask the same question. why, are so people adopted these poor kittens, if they're not going to love or take care of them? this is Orbit . him and two other kittens. all three were STRAY kittens that I adopted from outside. I keep him and I found good parents for the other two. so I named him Orbit .his one year old now. but when I found them. they've been like new born kitten.

If you aren't going to take care of it and make it part of your family. Don't get a pet. You don't n need a pet and they sure don't need you

Selfish people should not have any animals.

Seems like people adore cute kittens. Then when they get bigger they seem to lose interest and dump them out! Sadly the cats and dogs suffer! It isn’t right and these selfish irresponsible people are WRONG! There really needs to be some way to make people who don’t take care of their pets responsibley punished! Need rules to fine them, take a class in appropriate care and put on a national list with pictures so they can never own another pet!!!!!

I have 13 cats and 2 dogs no way in hell would I abandoned any of them if I did it would only make me a scum like the rest of the people that do😡

I sure would like to know the answer. do they also abandon their children.

Perhaps they were homeless cats that gave birth! I have a feral cat I’m trying to catch. I am making progress. When I feed her/him she meows. I feel that is communication and hopefully I can catch him/her!
