I used to think Gatsby was romantic. A man who loved so hard he built a mansion for it. But now I just see someone who couldn’t let go. He wasn’t in love with Daisy — he was in love with the past. And she… she was never really there to begin with. There’s something so sad about wanting your life to rewind. Trying to fix what’s already broken. That line — “So we beat on, boats against the current…” It doesn’t sound beautiful to me anymore. It sounds like drowning. This book used to feel like a dream. Now it feels like regret. #Entertainment #Books #ModernClassics
