NFL teams should only draft players from their local regions

NFL teams should be restricted to only allow players from the region their team represents - letting anyone from anywhere join any team completely dilutes the whole point of regional sports fandom. Why should I root for the “New York” Giants when half the roster is from Texas and California? True regional representation would create authentic connections between teams and their communities. Imagine if the Packers could only draft from Wisconsin and surrounding areas, or if Miami had to build their team with Florida talent. You’d get genuine local pride and identity instead of just rooting for laundry. Teams would also be forced to invest in youth development in their regions, creating deeper community ties. #NFLUnpopularOpinion #NFL
