The NFL desperately needs relegation like European soccer

The NFL should adopt a relegation system where the worst teams get demoted to a lower division while the best minor league teams move up. This would create actual consequences for terrible ownership and management instead of rewarding incompetence with better draft picks. No more guaranteed spots in the top tier just because you bought a franchise decades ago. Teams would have to earn their place through performance, not just collect revenue sharing checks while putting garbage on the field.
