Why every squirrel hunter needs a good dog

Had this amazing little terrier mix who completely changed my squirrel hunting game on our 50/50 woods-field property. Without her, I'd walk past most squirrels hiding up in the canopy - you just can't spot them all. She'd tree every single one, standing guard at the base until I could take the shot. That little dog and I would regularly bag 20+ squirrels in just a couple hours. One memorable day we got 40+ between me and my buddy with her doing all the hard work. The difference compared to hunting solo was incredible. A good squirrel dog doesn't just find game - they turn every hunt into something special.
