Butler County’s Jason Mode, a lifelong Reds fan, got the once-in-a-lifetime honor of throwing out the first pitch at Great American Ballpark before the Reds’ nail-biter win over the Rockies. Mode, picked out of 300 coworkers, called it surreal—especially meaningful after his son’s recent surgery. Imagine the nerves!
