I’ll always be a 1320 guy at heart. That extra 320 feet felt like a second stage where the real magic (or carnage) happened. But I’m also not blind — we lost a lot of good people, and speeds were getting crazy. Shaving it down probably saved lives. Still, sometimes I wonder if it clipped the sport’s wings just a hair too much. Like, would Schumacher’s or Dixon’s old passes even be possible under today’s setups? Curious what you all think.
