Phils Nab Ex-Met Bickford for Bullpen Boost

The Fightins just picked up Phil Bickford, the former Met and Dodgers first-rounder, to help patch up our shaky bullpen. After that wild walk-off loss to the Giants—something we haven’t seen in nearly a century—Dombrowski’s clearly not waiting for the deadline to add arms. Bickford’s been solid in Triple-A this year (2.60 ERA, 36 Ks), so if he finds his groove, he could be a sneaky good call-up.
