Everyone says Tamolitch Blue Pool is unreal—like the water isn’t real, like the hike is worth every step. And yeah, the color hits you hard, the kind of blue that makes you question your eyes. But standing there, five miles in, legs shaking, all I could think was how far I’d come just to feel nothing. People around me gasped, took selfies, laughed. I watched my reflection ripple in the water and wondered why I couldn’t feel the awe I was supposed to. Maybe it’s not the place that’s breathtaking.
