Should I Pay $200 More to Escape My Stressful Commute? πŸ˜©πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ

I’m 24, working downtown with a $95k salary, and my current 20-minute drive to the office is driving me crazy. I absolutely hate being stuck in traffic every morning and evening, and it’s starting to affect my mood at work. My rent is $800, but there’s a new apartment just a ten-minute walk from my office for $1,000. I love the idea of walking to work, but the extra $200 a month (plus a pricier gym nearby) makes me worry about my long-term savings and early retirement dreams. On top of that, work has been extra stressful lately, and I feel like a shorter, more enjoyable commute could really help my mental health. But is it worth the extra cost? I’m torn between enjoying my life now and planning for the future. What would you do in my shoes? I’d really appreciate any advice! πŸ™ #JobCareer #CareerChoices #WorkLifeBalance
